Recommended: "The Problem With Red Dead Redemption 2’s Horse Testicles – 'There's Too Many of Them'"
I was invited to a brand new podcast called You Are Error, hosted by games journalist Nathan Grayson for Aftermath, a worker-owned, subscription based games website that I highly recommend checking out.
On the Podcast, Nathan and I talked about some of the many ways in which mainstream video games keep dropping the ball when it comes to including horses, why I think the testicle shrinkage thing in RDR2 is stupid and of course the message that my regular readers are very familiar with: Why I’m sure that the horse game audience is bigger than anyone realizes and has a lot of potential. You know, the sort of thing I always talk about but am super thrilled to bring to a larger audience by doing so on a major gaming website.
I found my conversation with Nathan lovely, and I can highly recommend the resulting episode.
You can listen to the horse game episode of You Are Error right here on Aftermath, or find it on your Podcast Listening Service of choice, such as Spotify or Apple.
Today we get to look at two recently released horse games that may have flown under your radar.
Both of these games came to my attention because their creators used the TMQ communities to find interested players. They might not fulfill every horse game dream you’ve had, but they’re sure worth a look if you’re willing to try something new and support independent developers at a very affordable price tag.
